There was a time when the only spray techniques a painter needed to perfect were the actual techniques of spraying, such as distance, overlap and travel speed. These basic techniques are still critical to good paintwork, but now a painter must also be concerned with a whole spectrum of techniques that make the refinishing process and repair undetectable.

A productive painter in today's market must be proficient at techniques that return a vehicle to its pre-collision condition. To do this successfully, the repair must be undetectable; the finish must match the vehicle's color, metallic orientation and texture; and the repair must be completed in as short a cycle time as possible. To ensure exact color matching, today's painters must be up to date on the new produres of blending metalics and three stage paints. That's why all our employees attend I-CAR training. We are also ASE Certified in Painting and Refinishing and we are this area's only Certrified NEXA AUTOCOLOR refinishing center.

To give you the most durable and best finish possible, Sloan's Collision Repair offers Wayne County's first bake-on paint booth used with NEXA AUTOCOLOR 2K base coat and PPG clear coats. All base colors are mixed in house with computer assistance. Our modern paint booth gives us the ability to duplicate a factory finish. The air flow design pulls air from over the top of the vehicle back towards the filters on the wall. This feature pull dust and over spray away from the final finish. Our booth also features a 1.5 million BTU propane heater which bakes on paint up to 189 degrees.

When it comes to refinishing your vehicle, no body does it like Sloan's Collision. We pay attention to the small details and take pride in all our paint work. To give you the best refinishing repair we remove all removabe items before applying paint. (Items such as door handles, window moldings, ect..) Taking extra steps sets us apart from other collision centers and body shops. Our paint application process is set up to exceed factory specificaitons. We have two refrigriant air dryers and a 3 stage decadesant dryer in the booth. These systems remove all moisture from you vehicles finish, prolonging the life of the finish. This allows us to offer a warranty on the repair and gaurantees your paint to adhere correctly and not to peel off.
